Dongfeng and Honda launched the S7 crossover

Dongfeng and Honda have announced the launch of the jointly developed Honda S7 crossover in China. The car is equipped with Huawei's Qiankun driver assistance system. Production of the crossover has begun at Dongfeng Honda's new plant, built to produce new energy models.

The S7 crossover is a mid-size five-seater electric vehicle based on the W platform. Its dimensions are 4750/1930/1625 mm, and the wheelbase is 2930 mm. The trunk volume of the S7 is 471 liters. The curb weight of the car is 2305 kg.

The all-wheel drive S7 is equipped with two motors with a total power of 469 hp and a maximum torque of 770 Nm. This version accelerates to 100 km / h in 4.6 seconds. The battery from CATL with a capacity of 89.8 kWh provides a power reserve of up to 620 km according to the CLTC standard. The Honda S7 with rear wheel drive received an electric motor with a power of 268 hp and a torque of 420 Nm, a battery of the same capacity provides a power reserve of 650 km.

The interior of the Honda S7 is full of modern solutions. In addition to rear-view cameras, the crossover is equipped with a 24-inch multimedia screen in portrait orientation, a 9.9-inch instrument panel and a 41.9-inch augmented reality projection display. The standard equipment includes eight speakers, heated seats and steering wheel, as well as the Honda Sensing driver assistance system.

The S7 occupies a key position in Dongfeng Honda's strategic transformation towards electrification, and is a starting point for looking to the future and expanding its market presence.
